Left un serviced, automatic transmission fluid breaks down chemically and degrades, causing the valve body and filter to become contaminated with deposits and sludge. These conditions lead to poor shifting and, ultimately, transmission failure.
The Stage I ECS Transmission Service Kit includes a new drain plug with sealing washer, a fill plug with sealing washer, and Redline D4 automatic transmission fluid. The more comprehensive Stage II kit adds an automatic transmission filter with hardware and a new oil pan gasket.
