A known weakness with the BMW E82/88 engine, the factory diverter valve diaphragm has a tendency to wear and crack under stock boost pressure levels.
The rubber material chosen for the diaphragm cannot withstand consistent boost diversion, and certainly will not contain the added boost levels that accompanies performance modifications.
Go Fast Bits has developed a solution that only attends to the problem itself - the weak valve mechanism - replacing it with an aluminum housing & brass piston - saving you the time and money of unnecessarily replacing the entire unit itself.
