BMW Z8 questions
Hello TS members,
I am a big fan of the BMW Z8 for more than 13 years now since the car has been launched, I love the design and its rarity (5700 produced). It has been a dream car for me for years now and I feel like I've come to a point and must set that goal in a couple of years time.
I recentley acquired my favourite 90's car Turbo 3.6 (964) (1,437 produced) and a 1965 Shelby Cobra (Factory Five Racing) but that still wont let me forget one of the cars that I really like which is the Z8 as I feel its timeless.
I would like to know about BMW Z8 in regards to :
Frame issues, reliabilty and any problems I should look into whilst searching for one.
The colour combinations I want Silver/Red, Silver/Black or Black/Black or Black/Red.
My purchase might be a couple of years down the road but the fun part is the search and the getting to know the car more prior to making the deal. Is it possible to put a E60 V10 motor in it ?
Where is the best place to find Z8's Europe or U.S.A, I want to track the market of these cars.

People will be quick to point out that this thread is in the wrong section as the z8 isn't an ///M car despite the engine.. But that's not important
I suggest you find a low-mileage example so you don't have to worry about most of the issues that arise from high-mileage vehicles. Due to the rarity, I'd refrain from swapping out the engine. We have several low mileage z8s in Bahrain, and I've tracked down some low-mileage examples in Oman and UAE but that was a while back. I'm sure you'll find some in the US on eBay. Good luck!

In the near future the most I want to spend on such a car is 100k-105. Prices for these cars are getting absurd these days, suddenly a price inflation. I remember a year or two they were in the late $80,000's.

how much is it to import such a car if it was US spec into MC?
