Sneak Preview: BMW's M6 Gran Coupe at M Night

BMW’s 2014 M6 Gran Coupe won’t appear stateside until it premiers at NAIAS in January. But the guys from BimmerPost got some shots of the new four-door during the 40 Years of M Event on Wednesday, and it looks pretty slick.

Regardless of how you feel about designating cars with four doors coupes—personally, I find the practice a little precious—the M6 is a slick piece of sheet metal. It packs the same 560hp V8 found in the M5 mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox. Given the lack of a third pedal in previous M6s, a manual transmission seems like a long shot.

Also on hand was the M3 DTM Champion Edition. Only 54 will be made, and all will reflect the livery seen on Bruno Spengler’s 2012 M3 race car which took home the top spot in the series this year.

Merc can kiss goodbye to CLS 63 sales, the gran coupe m6 will definitely take away a few customers.

 

^not so sure about that as it costs a good 10-15K euros more.

The Gran Coupe's are simply amazing cars; I was fortunate enough to have driven quite a few of them including the 650 version.

The M6 Gran Coupe will be in a different league!

the gran coupe is a gorgeous car in person, but OMG...look at that M3...I want it!
