2013 BMW M3 Sheds More Camo, Hits The Ring
Our Teamspeed spies catch up with the 2013 BMW M3 Sedan, flogging about on the ring, shedding more of its camo, and looking very menacing for its size. A few months back Dr Friedrich Nitschke, managing director of M GmbH. Dr. Nitschke, mentioned the next-generation M3 would have a "bigger focus on very low fuel consumption." In fact it's been rumored the F80 M3 will be up to 20% more efficient then it's predecessor.
We still are hearing the new M3 will may be fitted with a tri-turbocharged, 3.3-litre six-cylinder engine making approximately 450 hp, a nice increase over the current 4-liter V8. Additionally, we can expect aggressive styling and a lightweight body that adopts carbon fiber-reinforced plastic components.
Its possible the 2013 M3 will be shown as a concept at next years Geneva Motor Show in March, with a production version should ready by September 2013.
Stay tuned to Teamspeed or more news soon!

Engine bay spy shots? Seems like BMW is pretty lax when it comes to keeping the new model under wraps. Or maybe it's all part of their plan to build hype for the M3 or M4 or whatever they decide to call this thing.
