Black M3 - Quality Paint Protection and PhotoSync Nano Tint

By far the most critical of all colors for paint protection film is black. But how does it look when the entire panel is wrapped without a seam on the hood? This is why we choose to use ClearGuardX over the others, it's clarity so far in our opinion, is unsurpassed. Here are the results:

We also installed a nano window film from Prestige Film Technologies called PhotoSync. This is the highest infrared rays (IR) rejecting film we have tested...blocks out 98.5% of IR!!! Most window films on the market only reject 20%-30%. Below are photos of the process....the prepping begins on the exterior of the glass and installed onto the inside later.

For those interested in learning more about PhotoSync, just google "Spectra PhotoSync" and you should find much information about it.

Spectra PhotoSync45 on the side windows and rear + 75% on the windshield

Although, there are only a limited number of dealers in the USA for PhotoSync, it is important to note the difference between this product and conventional tint. First off, this product can reject up to 98.5% once it is exposed to solar heat for approximately 20 minutes. This translates to improved performance, which is an effect from Prestige's Solar Adaptive Coating. This coating's nano properties will converge to tighten the tolerance of the composition to create a greater barrier to heat. Most conventional window films on the market only product 20%-30% of infrared blockage by comparison.

As some have asked, here are some more close up shots of the PhotoSync Nano tint installed:

Excuse my ignorance, but I was always under the impression that tint are installed on the inside. Is this product a mix of clearbra/tint?

The film is actually prepped outside and installed inside.

Here is a test we performed and documented by video of how well Prestige Film Technologies PhotoSync65 performs (on the M3 in this thread, we installed PhotoSync45 which produces slightly better heat rejection than the film in the video)

Prestige Film Technologies Spectra PhotoSync Nano Window Film Test by Premier - YouTube

Can you explain the difference between this and the Diamond Cut IR tint?

What would you recommend for the following goals?

1) E92 M3. Do not want to use vinyl, paint, etc to cover dot matrix
2) 50% tint on side and rear windows. Looking for a constant color (not one that transitions to a darker color in the sun)
3) Retain ability to use comfort access, radio, GPS, etc without interference from tint

A: We use vinyl and as you can see from the photos, it matches the black border surrounding the glass

2) 50% tint on side and rear windows. Looking for a constant color (not one that transitions to a darker color in the sun)
A: Go with Diamond Cut - does not produce as high of heat rejection as PhotoSync, but will do its job in heat block

3) Retain ability to use comfort access, radio, GPS, etc without interference from tint
A: both products will not affect wireless signals
