Spied: 2013 BMW M4 Coupe

^This shit is getting old
90% of the people who carp on about the e30 M3's greatness haven't ever driven one.
IMO, the e46 M3 was the greatest M followed by the e39 M5. The e92 M3 is no slouch and everyone who believes that its not good enough is an uppity purist wannabe.
M4 name is stupid as hell though. Why didn't they give that name to the four door and let the M3 stay a coupe.

Yeah, not liking the new naming or the new styling of the 3 series. I basically don't like the general direction BMW is going in total. They're diluting the brand and leaving the M tradition to the waist side. Don't think my next car will be a bimmer.

Didn't BMW say they were going to introduce the M4 name when the e92 was yet to be released? I think this is just something to get people buzzing about the car but ultimately BMW will keep the M3 name for both the coupe and sedan versions.
Also, despite whether or not they choose to keep the M4 name this time around, I'm sure it will still be a great car and people will buy it.

Wait, I take that back.

This car is another example of BMW muting the brand. There are so many versions of BMW's they make Porsche seem like Zonda. This car may be excellent but it will be close to the sport version of the 3 series coupe. It will look close to the other cars and you will be able to add M features to the lesser cars to cheat. That and the change of name makes this very sad. I have owned 6 BMW's in the last 12 years and they were all great cars. They just seem to get less special with each new purchase. I recently converted my DD to a Range Rover and it is every bit as reliable and just seems more lavish for less money. I would love to see a true M3 with lighter materials and focused performance. They can add some creature comforts but I would like it to be completely individual from the other cars.

It's too bad the CSL or GTS versions of the M3s never make to the US.

Hey guys,
I was just wondering,
Since BMW Trademarked the M2, M4, and M10 I think 2 years ago, does that mean the even numbers will represent Coupes while the odd numbers will represent the sedans.
For example, The 2013 1M is 5 door (competitor to the new A-class, the Audi A1 oven the Ford Focus).
Also, The M4 is literally a 3 series coupe. It will use the same engine as the new F14 M3?.
On top of that, The 5-series and 6 series are the same car as well.
Maybe thats just my own intuition but what do you guys think.
And also if the M2, M4, M6, 1M, M5 exists, and possibly an M10 so screw with the R8, I'm all for it lol.
but then again I'm not a hardcore bimmer fan anyways.
Let me know

Makes sense to me. I thought the reasoning behind the m4 badge was all of bmw's two door cars (coupes) were going to be even numbered and the odd numbered cars were going to be sedans/hatches.
1,3,5 and 7 are all 3 or 4 door cars.
4 and 6 are all 2 door cars.
I think the car will look great, but then again, just like everyone else, i haven't seen what it looks like as there have only been camouflaged pictures released, which makes me laugh when i read people say that this car looks shit lol how can you know it looks shit if you haven't seen it.
