M5 ED gravy train is over

Damn good question. Someone (us) should write them a letter and remind them that they just cannibalized their own sales. Basically BMW NA (and BMW by extension) is the loser here. And the dealers are the "winners" (sort of; if they're able to overcharge enough to make up for the lost profits from non-alloc ED sales).

Looking forward to ED on the new m3 in a few yrs. May not be an option if it won't save the 5grand or so to pay for the entire trip.
Id rather spend 5k going to costa rica than germany if the ED doesn't save big bills anymore
Edit* nobody knows shit about business anymore this and all the other bull from the top manufactures in recent yrs is unreal. If your going to piss off anyone do it to the poor, they're not the ones throwing duffel bags around.

Clearly, you don't have enough duffel bags.

you guys crack me up. Andy you know I love ya man... but seriously- NO one should get the same discount on a M5 over a vanilla 5 series. Sorry Charlie.
Pay to play.
And you'd all do the same thing if it was your business so just give me a fvcking break.
Capitalism IS Capitalism. You don't have to like it, but you also don't have to buy that product.
Get over it.

European Delivery is awesome - for the experience if one does it correctly. we had a blast picking up wife's car last Sept & we're doing it again this year. just waiting for the allocation to be confirmed.
now, i've seen lots people just want to save money by going through ED. they fly to Munich. pick up the car then drop it off the same day. fly back the next day. that just doesn't make much sense to me. at the end of the day one is really not saving much by going through all the trouble not to mention the car will show up 2 months later. i don't get it but i guess their time is not money.
we drove about 1,200 miles in 12 days. cross 3 countries. took about 3,000 pics. went to the Ring & Frankfurt Auto show. the list goes on & on. the experience is just priceless. looking forward to the 4 countries + Paris show this year!
