Beauty. Best of luck with it! Full Leather option is a must on these cars. I don't know if I could own a Five without it now, after getting used to it in my M5. I'm surprised more people don't get that option, it really is worth it!

Love the interior accents. So what does the Dinan-2 tune do? The engine is N/A, correct?

The Engine is a 400hp, 450lbft twin turbo V8. The Dinan stage 2 tuning raises that to 501hp, 580lbft.

Thats what I was guessing. Very cool, the under the hood shot looked a lot like the V8 in the M5. I wonder what the mechanical differences are, and if 100 more HP is safe? If Dinan is doing it, I'm sure they've looked into it. 500hp is gonna be fun man..

It's the same engine block as the X5M, but the X5M has 17PSI, the 550I runs 9.8PSI, and 14 PSI with Dinan.

The M5 engine is much more different. It is tuned to 22 PSI, has a more advanced cooling system, the turbos were moved to the inside of the V to reduce the distance and lag, and they used more advanced materials to handle the heat.

Given that there is a high similarity between the 550i and X5M engines, I'm not so concerned about running a boost of 14PSI given the levels run by the M cars. Nobody has had any problems and Dinan has been tuning these engines for about 18 months now on the 750i. Also they tend to do a lot of testing.
