M - the most powerful letter in the world
BMW M, also known as M-Technik or just "M" (for Motorsport), was initially created to facilitate BMW’s very successful racing program in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models for which they are now most known to the general public. M-badged cars traditionally include higher output purpose-built engines, fortified transmissions, stiffened suspensions, upgraded interior trims, improved aerodynamics, weight reduction, and more aggressive exterior treatments. These modifications enhance the already sublime BMW driving experience to another level altogether. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany. They are held in high regard by enthusiasts worldwide, and further serve as benchmarks for other auto manufacturers' most sporting offerings. BMW M creates some of the finest driver's cars on the road today!
