Seems like the 3.6 seconds is the Euro-spec Audi TT RS with the 360 hp, which has the dual clutch tranny, which the US doesn't get, plus the US version has less HP.

370 lbs/ft of torque for the BMW, didn't think it had that much torque! All from 1500 too.

how does the TT get 3.6s 0-60 with less than 400hp and 3300lbs? cars with 500+ hp can barely do that. that's pretty amazing. must have some really tall gears.

It's a typo, they mean 4,6 seconds.

DSG, Quattro, launch contol, and good ecu programming can do some amazing stuff when you smash the pedal. The TT RS might be blazing fast in a straight line, but keep in mind the 1M is quicker in a rolling start (5-60mph). Also, the TT RS C&D tested is a Euro spec model. The US bound car will not have DSG, LC(manual only). I think where the 1M really stands out is in the roadholding, and handling department. The turbocharged N54 engine will provide sharp throttle response and gobs of torque from any gear. Respect for the Audi TT, but at it's core it's a modified VW Golf platform.

The G37 being included instead of a cayman of some kinda throws a lot of the credibility out the window from the get go. Cool test but I don't see too many people cross shopping such different cars.
