150K mile 89 E30 M3?

Jox I had one identical to the one pictured for about 18 months. It was one of my dream cars at that point and I got a deal I couldn't pass up. I sold it at a small profit. The guy I sold it too went on to sell it for an even bigger profit. You will not lose money on a car that is that cosmetically sound. The engine rebuilds for the S14 are expensive so try and get some indication of the mechanical history. I still think you'd have a slim chance of losing any money on it.
I can tell you right now that there are few cars as fun to drive as an E30 M3. They are slow as hell and have to be revved to get any performance out of them. But once you are up to speed they are a blast to throw around corners. White is by far the best color IMO. Check out S14.net to do some homework on maintenance issues. That Engine pic isn't THAT bad IMO. Nothing a little degreaser and some water couldn't take care of anyway.

Goddammit, I was hoping you'd talk me out of it so I could let it go. I don't have any room for it. Ben, you sure know how to talk people into things!
What I really want at this point is to add a Delta Integrale but there are none to be found anywhere with my criteria. And I don't want to settle for something other than what I want. (No room for both ... or either really) But boy, those are some serious miles.

Noooo, not a V10. Sacrilege. The whole point of the E30 is to leave it in original shape and enjoy it for how good it is - the gorgeous and timely 16" Hartge wheels work on it because they had them back then as an option, but that would be as far as I'd go with any aesthetic or performance mods. Well, maybe an aftermarket clutch or something.

LOL, guise - don't compare our prices to the US market please, where you could lease a new M5 for the same as my weekly garbage disposal Everything is twice as expensive and we make half as much ... while paying 80% more tax.

Jox, even with the exchange considered offer 17K and see what happens. It would make a BRILLIANT springtime road trip car. These cars are not going to go down in value any time soon. I pinch myself regularly for selling mine. I got mine for well under 10K US and its changed hands for up to 17K now with 150K miles on the clock ......... and the odometer stopped working. People are going crazy over these cars. Finding an example like the one you've posted is worth sitting on if nothing else.
