Pictures From the Britcar 24hr race at Silverstone

The last car is a competitor for the British Touring Car Championship,(BTCC) the engines in these cars are pegged at 2.0 Litre but put out around 300bhp.

This particular car is left hand drive which allows the engine to be rotated over to the right in the engine bay on modified engine mounts to keep the the cars centre of gravity as low as possible, if it was righthand drive (uk) the engine would foul the steering and pedals.

That chaps is Andy Neate, nice guy he broke his back in a previous crash in the Britcar 24hrs race at Silverstone, it's quite an amazing recovery this guy is a totally driven individual ( excuse the pun) very down to earth and grounded person.

Welcome.

Lovely car, I had a long look at few they had at my local dealership last weekend. Have been offered a test drive so may well take them up on it.
