2011 BMW DVD Nav Disks

From a friend...

2011 BMW Navigation DVD Maps - Home

In case you are not aware of this info, 2011 Navigation DVD map of US is out.

I found this online seller and I have ordered mine.

For this price ($49.00).

I placed my order this morning and just got a notification that it has shipped. Quick!

I dont know its legit but if you are interested you may want to order yours ASAP before the website is taken down.
There is also a post on this on the E60 M5 forum.
Folks there claim DVD map works as advertised.

Due to huge database info, 2011 DVD is now split into two DVD's.
1 DVD is East, 2 DVD is West Region.

Per their website, the 2011 version also includes red light cameras and speed traps.

Click on Vehicle Compatibility to check whether you need the High or the Professional version.

I have no affiliation whatsoever to the seller, just sharing info.

Red light cameras and speed trap notifications? That is impressive.

Well, these are map updates for the DVD based cars. The newer cars with the upgraded CIC iDrive are HD based.

CD based is MK3, which was phased out in 2003 by MK4, which is DVD based.

Then when the E90 came along, they went to HD based.

It's a burned copy...im sending it back and getting a refund. Once you load up the DVD it functions, but honestly you cant tell whether its an updated version of the maps unless there are some newly constructed roads nearby. The most recent legitimate DVD NAV discs i'm aware of are dated 2009.2 (not sure if Navteq was still making them at that time though).
