Who Misses Their Old M????
#44
Miss my old trusty M e36. Did everything well, and with four doors I was able to get people (adults) around if needed in a pinch.
On the way home from the airport today we stopped at Peter Pan BMW to check out the new M3. Wasn't planning on test driving the car, but the salesman twisted my arm and we hit the local highway/twisty roads. The car drove well, sat 3 adults comfortably (sedan), and had a great carbon/leather package. Of course now I'm trying to figure out ways to convince the wife we need another car

I honestly don't know how you can live with the gas mileage, its a fantastic car but 8-12 mpg in the city is just ridiculous.

ya...thats the only minus...and its a big one for sure. But no car in existence is as versatile or as much fun as the m5...so its worth it completely. That said...I have looked at a couple 50k 997 carreras that get nearly 30 mpg...but I think Im going to wait for my r8 to come in and take a nice midpoint.

Yeah........I was missing ALL my old BMW's ......thought I might buy an old E34 1995 540 6 speed......like them so much I've had two.....figured it would be fun...as a DD.....maybe even SC it....then I started thinking.........maybe I should buy another E39 M5.....that was a great car...just too generic looking at the time....didnt stand out enough for me.....hahaha....ended up getting an E60 M5.....GREAT car....just needs about 100 more Hp to be perfect....hopefully soon...
