The JC's M3 at Harris Hill Road (again)

Took my ///M (<--for you Chris from Cali) to H2R last weekend and despite the heat it was a great track day. Killed off a set of track pads, but it was well worth it. Oh and I'm keeping to the promise I made to track at least once a month. Time to install a seat and harness

Many thanks to Moira Zinn for the images, and if anyone here tracks their motorcycle around Texas hit her up at Elite Track Days

Love those wheels. If you're really going to make it to the track at least once a month, I'd say go right ahead with the roll bar, Sparco's, etc.

Moira's awesome. Last time I was there, she berated me for not bringing my 4-year old. He came with me one time as acting Crew Chief, and flirted outrageously with her. Her daughter (who is either 13 or 14) races a 600cc bike at H2R as well. Why didn't my mother push me in that direction? It could have been me instead of Dario Franchitti...

Eric, Travis, and others have a good point. So it will be a single recaro, Schroth harness, and harness bar for the M3. At the rate I'm going, I'll want something fully caged and fully track focused in the next few years. Must remember that JC want a GT3 fund!

I've raised this issue with my father before and he is quick to point out that I'm 6'2 and 220lbs, so I haven't really done my part.

Looks like you had a blast! Glad you're getting good use out of her, JC. Thanks for sharing the pics.

She got married at the track too IIRC

If you're tracking that regularly, why not get a dedicated track beater that you won't mind throwing down the road a ways? You can get a spec E30 for ~10k, or an ex-Lemons racer (that will need work) for ~4k.

There's a guy in Houston I've tracked with that is selling this system for a good price. I just don't know if I'm technical enough to set it up to gain a lot of speed. I've noticed a couple e9x M3 owners who get coil overs and are actually slower b/c they haven't set them up properly.

I've been considering KW V3s, but I should really wait for something more track dedicated as I want to keep this M3 for my street car for years to come.
