"...seen for the first time in these photos is the M5's S63 motor (4.4L twin turbo, twin scroll, direct injection V8 from the X6M/X5M). The S63 is expected to be tweaked for the M5 to produce more power than the X6M/X5M. We believe it could come in at the 585-600hp mark. As it was a hot day at the Nurburgring, the M5's hood was opened for cool down and monitoring/testing."
