very true!
This M could beat the shit out of other Ms if properly modded

but...
the newer the car,the newer the ECUs and that might be a problem for tuners since BMW is implementing more and more tuning barriers which have to be cracked first by the tuners

I hope they finally offer an option to get the BMW Performance seats and steering wheel from factory when ordering a new car!

I heard the auto journalists from C/D didn't actually get to drive the car. They were driven around the Ascari track by BMW engineers/test drivers.

I would love for this to be lighter. However, if BMW spent R&D/testing time on lighter parts, the cost would be passed on to the consumer. Maybe BMW doesn't feel there's a market for a lightweight coupe.

ECB - I doubt we'll get the performance steering wheel/seats as a factory option. We'll probably see the E9X M3 seats in this model.

Here's my plan>> 1 Series M Coupe tii: no more than 3200 lbs, 375hp, 350 lb ft, 6MT, or DCT, high flow sporty exhaust, no back seat, carbon roof, trunk, and hood, lightweight manual bucket seats, lightweight wheels, and manually adjustable coilover suspension, fixed brembo calipers (crossdrilled rotors), tightened steering ratio. Price, around $52000.
