E46 CSL in the USA?

Well, in the UK they cost approx 25,000GBP for Right hand drive cars.
In Germany (and Europe) right hand drive cars are about 30,000GBP
I'd expect for 'most' cars that there would be a pretty much direct translation from GBP - USD but then factor in the European car premium.
So if there was a CSL I'd expect to pay $35-40K depending on mileage.
That said, there was no CSLs so it doesn't matter!

There are a couple (~2) "grey market" CSL's here in Los Angeles; one on the street and one that was in a showroom.
There are a ton of exact look-alikes due to take-off part availability, right down to carbon-fiber roof transplants. From the outside, impossible to distinguish between real and copy, so even those who have "seen" them may have not.
There was no CSL E46 sold in the US; we did get the ZCP package which had components from the CSL but definitely was not ALL the components.
