Well, if you want to talk about history like you did about BMW... Mercedes definitely rips off the charts....F1, off-road, mille miglia....etc..... Nothing beats them...

While Mercedes and even Audi have been in motorsports longer than BMW, like Chris, I definitely associate BMW with motorsports now moreso than I do either of the other two brands. I'd love to see BMW in DTM but I just wish there was a way to get coverage here in the US.

You just love Mercedes too much and can't get that grand name out of your head!

I'd love to see BMW in DTM as well. It's going to be fun to see them compete against Mercedes and Audi.

Striker, my point, as Alex noted, was the association, not the actual history. If you were to ask 1000 people on the street which brand was more sporting between BMW and Mercedes, I'd bet 75% choose BMW. And I am well aware of Mercedes race history - I got to see most of those amazing old cars at Laguna Seca one year.

Clearly your not stating fact, rather senseless verbal diarrhea! It's ok to have an opinion, but your gonna need to back up comments like that Junior!

Just to hammer it home:

BMW Motorsport

Nope, no motorsports successes there. Move along, nothing to see...

Yeah, and Opel ran whatever their coupe was.

DTM feels better when they are running sedans.

Yep, Opel Calibra... The good ol' days - remember Alfa ran a 155, too.
