2010 IND Frozen Grey Individual M5 - Completed Exterior Mods
Here are the mods I had done over the past few weeks. The photos are crap because it was rainy, in the garage, no light, with the ISO way up to get these shots.
Frozen Grey Paint Matched Front Reflectors - By IND
Matte Cleared Side Signals - By IND
Matte CarbonFiber Front Grills - By IND
Matte CarbonFiber Side Gills - By IND
Matte CarbonFiber Lower Mirror Covers - By IND
Matte Black Powder Coated DINAN Exhaust - Local Shop
I also had the bottom of the cans powder coated matte black so that if you are at knee high looking at the exhaust, you won't see the silver color of the cans.
Matte CarbonFiber License Plate Frame (COMING SOON) - By IND
ALL Carbon Fiber parts are 1x1 mesh (not the average & most common 2x2 twill) and then given the matte treatment.
I worked very closely with Illia from IND Distribution. They know what they are doing there, and IMO the only company out there that is capable of finding me a high quality part, and then modifying it in house to my needs. For example, high quality 1x1 mesh carbon fiber grills/gills were purchased from his supplier (i have tried from so many suppliers, and they are all cheaply made. this was equal to OEM) and then given the matte treatment. The side markers were matte white cleared by them as well.
Everything came together perfect. The matte carbon fiber looks like it BELONGS on the car. I have hated carbon fiber until now. Either because everywhere I got them from were cheap and turned yellow, because I disliked the shiny look or because it didn't go well with certian colors. My last M5 was sapphire black and it sort of stood out so I turned to matte black. The matte carbon fiber was the route to go here, IMO.
I have a matte black M5 Badge but I am trying to figure out what to use for the adhesive when removing the old badge. Last SapphireBlack M5 I used goo-gone and then detailed that area, then applied the new badge. For this paintwork.. i'm scared to try. I may use painters tape and plastic to mask off the trunk besides one part where the badge goes. So if anything goes wrong, the badge should cover most of the mess.
The car took on a huge transformation from OEM. I put a lot of effort and thought into what I wanted, and IND was the perfect source for that especially because I like to pay attention to detail and they do everything right the first time around.

Your M5 looks great, by far one of the best/cleanest e60s I've seen. Ilia and Nate from IND are great guys, and I look forward to discussing (and executing) more plans for my M with them. Now how about some more pics when daytime comes around

The transformation of your Individual is coming along. Everything looks great. Do you have anything else planned? Dinan stroker?
I would almost take a 000 mile M5 and paint it frozen gray. Your car is sick.

I am defiantly going to take photos when the weather permits. I very carefully wiped the dirty car down with just rain water sitting on the car for the sake of these shots. I'm never doing that again even though I didn't scratch the paint.
Thanks for the comments.

Thanks DJ. I have photos that are not re-sized if you want to post them for me. I had to re-size to post them onto the thread as an attachment.
Thanks. It's really a unique color. I think these photos (although not good ones) are good in the sense of showing the metallic flake in it. I would not buy the paint if it was just grey, the metallic makes it.
Thank you. I agree and the Matte C/F really does complement the color.

Yes. I have already done DINAN Exhaust + DINAN Pulley.
I plan on doing all performance mods DINAN for 10pts. I may or may not put a DINAN badge on. The next DINAN mod will be Intake + Stage III ECU.
