Sup dude, Nice e36.
If you're gonna mod it, skip all the usual engine mod BS. Software, cams, OBD1 manifold, pulleys/lightweight flywheel will only just barely get you running 13's in the 1/4 (about 20hp).
If you want the car to be quicker, get a 3.38 diff out of an auto m3. It will put much more torque down than your current 3.23, and you'll be able to recover much of the cost of the 3.38 by selling your current 3.23. (my 2.8 could keep up with s52's with just the 3.38, software and pulleys)
I'd take the wing off aswell, just something about the sedan with a big wing doesn't mesh. I'd put a e39 M5 lip if i were you, but then again, that's just my taste.
Whatever you do, dont sell the contours. I had a set which i sold, totally regret it now.
The other thing i'd probably do sooner rather than later is suspension & brakes. I wouldn't mod the brakes too much, OEM blanks with good pads stop really well. If you're gonna track, you'll need SS lines, the rubber ones expand too much under constant braking (Get DOT6 fluid also in that case).
If you want the car to look more aggressive in the front, you can consider a set of velocity splitters (if you wanna see what they look like check out the e36 M3-GT).
My e36 was my first car, still by far my favourite. One day i'll smash it into a median, or give it to my little brother, but till then, it will always be my baby.
