M5 for $40k: Opinions Needed

2006 BMW M5, $40,000 - Cars.com

A buddy of mine is looking at this car and while I have formed my own opinion, I just wanted to see what you guys think of it. Seems likes a hell of a deal.

Looks like a good deal, but without any type of description who knows if it's even legit... Could be someone just having a fire sale.

To me, finding a '06 M5 for $40k with 46k miles seems like a good deal but not enough to raise red flags.

^I've been looking at various 2006 e60Ms and the market is pretty close to this. However, judging by the friend that sent this to me it could have been a scam.
