Bangle Quits BMW and Auto Industry Altogether - worldcarfans

Looks like Bangle has quit BMW and the car industry all together. Next batch of cars is going to be interesting.

 

Wow, that was not expected.

 

hate to say it but Bangle designs have consistently proved to be ahead of their time and heavily imitated thereafter... not to mention the fact they have sold like hot cakes.

I think BMW will miss him.

 

Good riddance . . .

 

I think they need him in Mercedes, they want to make the current e-class more less appealing.

 

Just because people imitate ugliness doesn't mean the design was good.

The 7 series is still nasty looking after all these years. The E38 remains the best looking 7 to date.

I'm with you here. There have been a lot of side-steps but in general I think he should be credited with really pushing the envelope in the industry. Car design has progressed pretty quickly the most recent years and although I don't agree with several of his key initiatives I think he's polarized and progressed - and at the end of the day- that's a wise investment if you're a designer.

 

 

I actually liked some of his designs as well. Will be interesting to see which direction BMW goes now.
