SRT4's.... WTF are they all such douches?

I posted this in the M5 forum because it was my M5 that encouraged this behavior I'm sure, but I've noticed that it's very common among owners of one certain car: the SRT4.

The owners of this car seem to be consistent douche bags. Driving home this black one with the dorky ricey spoiler and fart can muffler was in another lane. I slowly passed him at normal speeds. Right after, HE TAKES OFF... darting in and out of congested traffic. He probably he went up to 100 mph on a road with 45-50 mph speeds.

This was going on the whole way home. So retarded.

I'm just venting.

Anyway, a good ending. I live out in the burbs, and there was an open road before getting home. We played around and I let him get a jump so he'd think he had a shot. Then I dusted him before we hit 70. As I got next to him, I just gave him a smirk and stopped accelerating. He kept going... it was pretty funny.

Anyway, I officially hate the owners of this car. I've had too many experiences with douches like this in this car. The way he drove in traffic was just sick. He wasn't young either. Probably 30 or so.

Ok... done venting. I love my M5.

Agreed, i've seen some pretty reckless behavior by lots of those drivers. Interestingly enough though, this 2000 e39m5 was outright insane in the way he was weaving through heavy traffic on 101S the other day here in norcal, far worse than ive seen in folks in the old Gumball videos. I'd venture to even say the car might have been stolen, the rear diffuser and exhaust tips were literally bouncing off the road.

Sadly no matter what car, w/300-400HP+ available for <$20k is a bad idea whether its new or preowned.

I have had similar experiences with SRT4s, you can always hear one coming up on you because of their aftermarket blow off valves. Subie drivers are pretty cool though, I usually get a thumbs up from them.

for me, it's any combination of wrx, evo, srt4, and (increasingly) e46 m3. just last night, i was driving late @ night and some dude in a (very old) supra kept trying to race me - for over 15 miles. and the other day - some hot shot 22 yr old in his 330 tried racing me every stoplight for 5 stoplights.

in my youth, i might've played; now i'm a grumpy old man and i just get extremely annoyed.

I feel the same way, it is a little annoying at times especially when they are driving like total assholes. The most irritating thing is when you get some guy in a car that obviously has no business trying to mess with you like a Silverado pickup or a 15 year old Acura.
