As a former employee of a track I would strongly reconsider that statement. I have seen freak accidents happen to full caged race cars resulting in the most random accidents where a helmet has indeed made the difference between an accident or a catastrophe. A full face helmet could protect your head from debris flying off other cars in the event they made contact with a wall etc. ..... anyways i'm sure you are old enough to make an educated decision. However it is a "no-brainer" no pun intended IMO.
