That's not bad... I might consider a 135 if I can't find a good S54 M Coupe. I sure as hell wouldn't get red though.
True, I'll definitely test drive the SMG first. I don't mind not having a 6-speed for a year or two, but I want to make sure the SMG won't be uncomfortable for daily driving.

If I got the 135, I'd only get white. Or pink, maybe.

Andrew it looks like a pretty solid deal to me the maintenance until 2011 is HUGE IMO. I've actually been thinking about switching back to an E46 M3 ...... thats how much i miss mine.

Definitely, the warranty is huge . I'm concerned they'll depreciate a lot in the next few years as cars like the 335i start coming to the used market (more modern, almost as much power). The M3 will probably only be attractive to enthusiasts, and the SMG usually isn't an enthusiasts choice.

Anyway, not a big deal, if I drive it and like it, I'll get it .

Drove the car, it's flawless. The guy is possibly more anal than I am. He replaced several interior pieces that had minor scuffs, and the exterior is flawless, so essentially it's a new car. SMG is very smooth, no clunking.

Also forgot to tell me it has an IceLink in it and V1 hardwire. I'm possibly pulling the trigger on Monday after I go in for a second round interview with a local company (need to make sure I'm moving first).

I LOVE the 135i and wouldn't feel the least bit feminine driving one... the vert looks a bit girly and in red it'd be pushing it but I saw one in black a couple of days ago that looked great... X3 on the other hand has always seemed pretty girly and doesn't have the redeeming qualities that the 1er has

Going to test drive tomorrow. If I was buying this living where I live now (Bay Area), I'd go for 6-speed since I do a lot of twisties driving. Since I'm moving to North Carolina for a few years, it will really be more freeway driving, so SMG might be nice.

I'll see how I feel on the drive.

Well, ive always wanted to get some decent seat time in an SMG lol, i'll happily exchange some seat time in mine when your back on the westside for a visit

Go for the e46 M3 bud, anything that's not an M is just a compromise. There are lots of fun roads out there, even the tail of the dragon is within reach if you run it during the off peak hours
