TSM WINS WannaGoFAST 1/2 MILE EVENT **203.32 MPH**

The TSM Team made our way to North Georgia this weekend to compete in the second annual WannaGoFAST event at Heaven's Landing Air Strip.

It was a two day event this year which was really nice! We got there Saturday morning and started tech as we always do for the WannaGoFAST events. After tech was done we started prepping cars. We had about 20 customer cars up there this weekend running them down the runway seeing how they perform.

Our duhawks with the TT Superleggera that we recently built was blazing down the half mile time after time running well into the 170s every pass. That car has really impressed all of us and more importantly he has been able to enjoy it at every event he wanted to. His fastest time of the weekend was 175 MPH! Remember that is a bolt on, bone stock engine with a TSM Bi-Turbo package on it. Between drag, half mile, and street this car has really proven itself to be a true performer.
Saturday we made a few passes on low boost dialing things in on our sponsored car for the event. You guys know the car... Boxsterr1's fresh TSM Built car. It is running the ETS 3794 Turbo kit, Powered by a 4.0 ltr engine built in house with a ShepTrans built transmission.

We honestly took it really easy on this car all weekend. As most of you know he really built it for the 1/4 mile not the 1/2 so we didn't want to push too hard. We left quite a bit of power on the table just to insure complete safety. We did however still fight traction issues pretty much the whole weekend as did all of the high HP cars. Boxsterr's car wasn't getting fully hooked up until well over 120mph which is pretty crazy.

So I think we made 3 passes total on Saturday trying to get the boost by gear somewhat dialed in still on low boost. By the third pass we were able to achieve 199.4 MPH which was good enough for the #1 spot for the day. However it wasn't good enough for the TSM Team. 200+ was the weekend goal and we were pretty determined to get it.

Sunday morning rolled around and again we got to visit with all of the participants during tech and admire their cars. This is honestly one of my favorite parts about that even is getting to just walk through and talk to all of the guys/girls about their rides.

Sunday the crowd at the air strip was awesome! Tons of people came out to watch the cars fly down the runway. Given that the track had been run on the entire day before there was just a touch more traction on Sunday. We ran two high HP GT-Rs on Sunday as one of our good customers Tim Lynch joined us to run his TSM Built GT-R.

After taking one run to feel out the track we went back out with Boxsterr's car to lay down a number. Still running far less boost than the car is capable of we were able to get a little more traction in 3rd and 4th than the previous day. The car came screaming through the start finish at 203.32 MPH!!! That was all we needed....we decided if anyone bested the time we would turn it up but if not our goal had been met so we parked her by the trailer and focused on the other cars we were giving track support to.

We worked with Tim to dial his car in to the track most of the afternoon. It was very tricky to get grip on the surface so a lot of work went into maximizing the grip in order to make the speed. However a few runs in we were able to get him deep into the 190s running an awesome 198mph!!! Pretty awesome for the conditions and limited seat time Tim had!

All in all it was a great weekend! Tim brought home "Fastest Forced Induction" car of the weekend and we left with the fastest car of the weekend.

I really wanna thank the guys at WannaGoFAST! If you have never been to one of these events you really should make it a point to go. There are a ton of awesome cars, the event is run very well and is simply a lot of fun! We will be joining them next year for their entire calendar so look for the TSM rig if you are around.

Here are a few pictures...I will post more this evening along with a video of a few passes.
