Production version Acura NSX to be revealed in Detroit
Last year we were delighted to see the revival of the iconic supercar from Japan, the Acura NSX, shown at the 2012 Detroit Motor Show as a prototype. This year, well ahead of schedule mind you, the production version of the all-new NSX will make its world debut at the Detroit Motor Show in January, the British publication Auto Express has learned.
"A top exec for Honda Brazil told us at the Sao Paulo Motor Show, that the ‘real’ NSX will be shown in Detroit after the show car has finished its duties here in Sao Paulo and then at the Tokyo show in November. Our source also revealed that the styling will remain ‘identical’ to the model you can see here on the show stand." Says Auto Express.
The new NSX will utilize a unique 2 Electric Motor Drive Unit with a Bilateral Torque Adjustable Control System, the all-new hybrid all-wheel-drive system can instantly generate negative or positive torque to the front wheels during cornering.
Power will come from a direct-injection V6 mated to a dual clutch transmission with built-in electric motor to create supercar acceleration while offering outstanding efficiency.
The NSX will be developed by an engineering team led by Honda R&D Americas, Inc., and manufactured in Ohio.

What's your thoughts of the LFA though? Supercar or just super sports car?

Honestly for the price of the LFA there so many real "Super Cars" I would buy. Again not to sound disrespectful of Toyota and Nissan but they started as economy car makers and have extended their brands. However, Porsche, Lamborghini and Ferrari came out building from the ground up sports cars and never tried to be anything else. They simply expanded their line with "Super Cars"
