Subaru Unveils "SUBARU BRZ" w/VIDEO

I'm not sold on the looks (or the trend to non-functional fake rear diffusers to seem 'racy'), and it's a bit underpowered to be any *real* fun, but I'm very happy to see someone really trying to keep the inexpensive sports car alive. When was the last time you heard advertising literature focus so much attention on center of gravity, tachometer placement, or shift weight and feel?
Anyone who's driven a Miata on a track knows that a great chassis can be a damn lot of fun, and it sounds like that's what they're going for here. I hope they hit the mark.

Nicely said, and besides, more power from the factory always costs more than a few simple things you can do yourself. I bet there will be a lot of cheap tuning programs to get the power up dramatically and for a low price.

Hi,
I still love the car and hope to have one with my name on it sometime in the coming years.
Might wait for the STi edition.
Also, it will be great to see the car competing in SuperGT - giving it real racing pedigree.
Cheers,
Nik
