You can find 06/07 STIs for around 25k, that'd be my choice but obviously I'm impartial. A 2010 GTI wouldn't be bad daily either.

I drive an Audi A3. And I can only say good things about it.
I wouldn't buy one, like some other people already said; you have a lot of other great cars for 25k.

Why not a 350z? Fun car and you can get used ones with low mileage well below 25k
