Honda is starting to do the same thing. (by starting I mean they have been in decline for a while.

 

I can't say I am a fan of the brand name, but I think the styling is gorgeous. Now, what actually comes to market is what will be important. Based upon a quick skim of the article, I can't imagine it will be packed with as much technology as they are talking about and be at a price point that would make it appealing (as I could never see myself spending $50k+ on a toyota (and especially not a scion)).

If the 2.0 that they put in is anything like the EJ207 that is used in JDM and EDM STis, the car will definitely be fun. The 8500 RPM turbo 2 liter is a blast to drive.

 

Please don't tell me this thing will really come with a scoobie motor.

This concept looks great, but let's see when it's watered down.

 

^^Agreed. I'm guessing this won't be nearly as good looking or performing as it was claimed to be as a concept. Bring the Supra back!

 

Sports cars coming out of Japan these days just can't compete. GTR, Z, Evo, STI, .....yes global strategy / cost......but come on throw us a bone.

It actually doesn't look half bad. Still, knowing that it's manufactured by Toyota makes it hard to stomach. Any company that produces something like the Prius won't ever get my money.

 

It actually is coming with a Subaru motor. It is supposed to be a flat-four developed by Subaru, with some DI or valve timing tech from Toyota.

 

If I were 14 or 15 yrs old, I'd be lusting over this thing. Fact is, it's just not a car for those with a mature taste in automobiles. I'm very curious to see how it performs however.

 

I feel like the rice mods on this will be spectacular one day.
