Autoblog Report: Honda confirms NSX development has restarted
#16
Its supposed to be a V8 I believe, or at least I think the class limits in GT500 limit it to that. It is front engined. The front wheels are placed well ahead of the engine though, so I am not hugely pissed about it.
As long as it revs better than the Toyota LFA, and has tremendous build quality.
EDIT
Just found the specs:
Engine name HR10EG
Liquid-cooled, NA, longitudinal 90° V8, Gear-driven DOHC 4 valves per cylinder, Dry Sump
Displacement (cm3) 3,397
Bore × stroke (mm) 93.0 × 62.5
Compression ratio (Not disclosed)
Maximum output (kW[PS]) 370 (500) or more
Maximum torque(N·m[kg·m]) 392 (40.0) or more
Tires(Front·Rear) 330/40R18 ·330/45R17
It also says steering wheel mounted paddle shifters attached to a constant mesh gearbox.

Well after been basically shoved down the totem poll because of the buyout deal that happened w/ Benz, I would not be surprised! But who knows...

Honda HSV-010 Press Release
It was posted in January of 2010. Which goes to show that this thing has been around for a while. I just want them to make the thing.
If they dont then I will be forced to save for a project car doing something unnatural to the NSX.
