What do you HATE about your GT-R?
#12
Having just recently gotten rid of my '09 R35, I had spent just around 18 months driving it daily...in Boston.

Not only to mention and re-iterate what J@WB, Mythic-credit to JClark "datsun", Gobbles, and Dave(MA) have said, but unless the roads you were on were anything less than moderately decent I honest to God felt bad for the passengers next to me. The ones in those amputee backseats, need I explain...
The transmission was too confused without a doubt in city driving. It has an automatic mode, and I've spent countless hours in a wide array of both fine luxury and economy cars with all sorts of trannys, and Godzilla makes me look like this is the first time I am attempting to drive a manual.
Went crazy with the smilies, I know. But this GTR Hate thread brought back things both myself and my close friends griped about. The seats were nice and supportive, but the interior was a Nissan with half-near faux leather and other mixtures of cloth and then real leather. WHat? Again, I am just restating previous posts so I'll sum it up by saying I LOVED and ADORED every moment behind the wheel of that automobile, but its finnicky issues and split-personality drivetrain issues made me revert back to a more normal, suitable automobile that made sense. Too bad the RS6 aint here, but that's for another thread.
What's worse is that I had the Cobb ACCESS Port on order right before I sold it...then came all the recall issues and nightmares. Turned out for the better then

Chris nailed it. This car is too damned smart for itself sometimes. Pulling away in first when you are trying to drive like a normal human being is a hit and miss affair.
I just spent two hours in rush hour stop and go traffic on Friday and swear to God I was ready to sell the car by the time I got to my destination. It can't decide whether it wants to be in first or second, clutch hits too hard (sometimes), when idling along at low speeds it still shifts all the way up into 5th or 6th, then has to come all the way down with the smallest throttle input. Etc.

Absolutely. It is very hard to behave when behind the wheel of this car.
FYI -- I took mine in to have the GT-R tech at the dealership check it out since the Jekyll/Hyde tranny issues I had last week had me wondering if something was wrong.
The official word: "We were able to reproduce the conditions you asked us to check and have confirmed that is considered normal behavior for the GT-R."

I don't have one but I don't want one either. They sound the same if not worse than a Z. The boxy looks doesn't help either.
As we've seen, this car hasn't improved much since introduction. It's competition is. I would rather buy a car from a maker that has an interest in improving it's products.
