New Nissan Skyline R34 owner

There are a few grandfathered in R34s. The rest are being seized and held in government owned warehouses until the EPA and DOT figure out what to do with them. A lot of have been seized.
When it comes to Skylines, R32s and R33s are the ones that are here to stay, all have been covered under the MotoRex importing deal.
With Kaizo, they were re-assembled in California, and a guy was sent titles to register them in the state of Florida. But it was the guy in Florida who dropped the ball with Kaizo. He wasn't registering cars, he was just taking money and not doing anything.

MotoRex brought in and crash tested one of the generations, not R34, got it completely legalized. Then basically he copied the paperwork for each car that came in. Saying he crash tested every generation that he brought in.

@ X2daC: Why don't they do a crashtest with an R34 then? Or am I missing the point completely here?
The car cost me 15.000 Euro's, that was excluding taxes and registering which brought the total just under 18.000 Euro's. You can get them for around 11 now, but those are usually full of rust and mechanically in a terrible state.

This whole situation pretty much defines the saying "This is why we can't have nice things".

So the McLaren F1's that are legally in the country was also done before this fiasco then?

But it's not a ban of all cars to be imported, just a select few.

Hahhaha that's awesome! I'm going to buy a cheapass car too for daily driving soon. Tires are getting too expensive as does the fuel. If I'm lucky I get 7 kilometers on 1 litre of fuel and tires usually last about 1-2 months.

If I were you, my day would consist of driving it and sleeping.
Maybe going through a drive-thru for sustenance once a day.
But otherwise just driving the piss out of it non-stop.
