Wow! I guess we should stop making fun of Toyota.

This Toyota Supra, which was built by Boost Logic and fully tuned by Tuning Concepts, ran at such staggering speeds at the recently-concluded TX2K10 National Supra Meet we still couldn’t believe that it blasted off in speeds that even a Nissan GT-R and a Corvette ZR1 couldn’t match.
The Supra registered a quarter-mile run in just 7.59 seconds at a recorded speed of 190 mph. For comparisons sake, GT-R posted a same-distance time of 11.6 seconds at over 120 mph while the ZR1 clocks in at 11.3 seconds at 131 mph. That’s a difference of about four seconds in time, which, in the fast paced world of sports car tuning, is an astoundingly huge margin.

No, we should mock them relentlessly for not having made a car like that in over a decade.
Cars like the Supra don't become the thing of legends by accident. It takes vision, commitment, and balls to produce such a car. In their quest to become GM, Toyota hasn't had that sort of stuff for a good long while.
It's also worth noting that pioneers like Paisley were not far off that time a decade ago, in some cases on stock bottom end 2JZs.
