Black GTR Correction Part Two

This is a car I did earlier this summer, and when the customer left the shop after only a half hour a huge rock hit the car on the roof and rear decklid. This was after a 20 hour correction to fix dealer induced swirls and marring plus some of the worst hard water etching I have ever had to deal with.

The customers insurance company does the adjustment and pressures him into using "thier body shop" and he tells them if it is bad I am going to be the squeaky wheel till the end of time, needless to say the "body shop" was not up to the task and the repair was horrible so off to the shop I led him too in the first place(insurance company's always "step over the dimes to pick up the pennies").

While the car was at the first body shop, not only did they do piss poor on the paint but got overspray all over the entire car and tried to remove by wiping with heavy solvent and a cotton rag!!!!!!(they still did not get all of it that task was left to me I am so lucky).

Here is what I had to deal with........

Here was a nice cluster of scratches to deal with

Huge scratches and marring

Taped the door off for test spot on correction steps needed

After 17 hours of compounding and polishing I checked the finish under all light spectrums and finally brought the car outside to check the finish, this is pre LSP and looked great but I brought the car back into the shop and refined the finish for 4 more hours

The finish is where I wanted it to be now

Interior pics

Sun pics

Customer leaving with peace of mind the car is finally back to "as new" again

Black is def the best color for the GTR. Love the look with the gunmetal wheels. Looks great AC.

Jeeeeez, don't buy a black car if you can't take care of it. That car is too new for that kind of damage. GREAT COMEBACK JOB Bob!

The quality of the paint on the GT-R is among the worst I have seen on any car. Just looking at it funny will scratch the paint.

Seriously man... If there's one thing that comes to mind. You're the original only man that can.

Guys I saw this car car in person when she first came in and it took a LOT of skills to get this black car looking in this shape. I said I'd never ever have a black car but Bob convinced me otherwise.

PS Shoe Program...!
