Saw a Genesis 3.8 on the highway...
So i just got home from the driving range and on the way back I saw my first Hyundai Genesis Coupe in person. I probably wouldn't have noticed it but the driver was flashing his high beams as he quickly approached me from behind.
He came along side of me and i glanced over to look at the driver and he tapped his radar detector as if to say "there are no cops, lets race"
I kind of laughed and turned my attention back to the road ahead of me. He sped up a bit and cut right in front of me - i guess to make me mad so i'd want to race..? logic? no clue - so i moved over to the right center lane (4 lane highway i was in the left center lane).
Once again he cut in front of me then accelerated probably to 100 or so (i was doing 75) with his hazard lights on.
Luckily at that point i had just about reached my exit and I was off the highway before he slowed down to get next to me again. I wonder how long he would've tried to get me to race?
Anyway, I think the car looks much better in person but still am not a big fan of the look. It's definitely more refined than civics and integras, but i guess it attracts the same kind of driver.

I saw one in person and didn't like it much. It looks a lot better in pictures. The Infiniti G37S is a much better-executed version of that type of coupe. Keep some Uncle Ben's packets in your car and throw them at douches like that...

Hyundai has come a long way, the era of the Pony is over.
I would get a hyundai before an american counterpart in a heartbeat!

That being said, the Genesis sedan is actually pretty baller, imo.

I don't disagree. I'm just saying the Hyundai isn't exactly the bargain sports car everyone thinks it is. You get what you pay for.

i wouldn't mind test driving the genesis coupe. it's a bit ricey compared to g37 but still looks okay to me. i heard all good things about it so will probly try it this weekend.
probly a better car than a mustang i'd imagine.

Just out of curiosity, what do you all consider to be the "American counterpart(s)" to the Genesis Coupe?
Mustangs, G6's?
Also, if i were to pickup a cheaper, sporty car I would probably get something like a mazda 3. i really like those.
