Excellent, thank you for the part 2.. Well it appears the GTR is the Winner! 83:10 one second faster than the 911 turbo. Very Interesting..

Interesting test indeed, I'd like to see a rematch after the GTR is properly run in (since it came of the boat the day before) and on a completely dried out track. And although the test driver certainly wasn't that bad, perhaps using somebody who is able to put down more consistent laptimes is a good idea for the next shoot out as well.

With that said, it looks like a clear cut victory for the Nissan here.

I agree, this guy seemed very nervous and "freaked out" as he repeatedly said. Rightfully so, I wouldn't want to wreck the first one coming to the UK either. Also, don't these guys usually wear helmets when doing a test like this?

a second , a minute , an hour or a day faster at the track. I would still get the 997 Turbo.

Driver: "Tool to go fast. Very controlled."

Sounds like he was bored hehe. Wish he mustered up enough courage to drive it harder, and not to worry about the owner as much as he did. No smoke, no glory!

Of course I prefer Porsche as a brand over Nissan but honestly @ 70k for the Skyline vs 126k for the TT I wouldn't be able to dismiss the GTR because it's 'just a Nissan' right away.

That's what most people think, "it's just a Nissan"... but can't you say "it's just a Dodge, Chevy, Toyota, or Honda" for the Viper, Corvette, LF-A, and NSX respectively?

Jack519 is an unknown quantity at this point
The only people that say stuff lke "Its just a nissan" are the ones who are jealous that it is a better/faster car than their own and thats the only excuse they can come up with to put the skyline down.
