I agree with several previous posters in the opinion that it already looks dated. Classic design typically subscribes to the "less is more" philosophy.

The Genesis coupe looks like something Pontiac would have designed 5 years ago with too much going on...too many creases and bulges, most of which are in the wrong places. If you look at the Genesis coupe next to a G37 coupe, its design flaws become even more obvious.

Just keep in mind that 20 years ago when people started buying the LS they had to keep in mind that it was just a Lexus...

True, but Lexus didn't have to overcome the stigma of such gems as the Hyundai Scoupe....

I agree with you there... I really think Hyundai should've started a new brand to release the new genesis cars... Even though Kia is their "honda/toyota" they just spent too much of their time on the bottom end of the market.

The difference with cars and electronics is that car consumers care more about history, tradition, and prestige when compared to buying a TV or DVD player.

It would be like Walmart starting a luxury brand boutique shop. It's going to take a while for Hyundai to bury that "cheap" stigma that surrounds their brand.

It's not a bad looking car...they should continue down this path and consider a luxury brand like Toyota/Lexus...
