691 U.S. Nissan dealers get ‘GT-R Certified’ to take pre-orders
#1
Nissan announced today that the Nissan GT-R is now available for pre-ordering at 691 certified Nissan dealers across the U.S. Nissan is allocating only 1,500 units of the GT-R for the U.S. next year so you better hurry up if you’re looking to get one. Well they probably sold out while you were reading this, so don’t bother. Pricing starts at $69,850 for the base model and $71,900 for the premium model.
All the 691 dealers have received ”GT-R Certification” status by meeting a number of strict sales, service and facilities commitments, including dedicating a master technician to GT-R service, special training for service managers and technicians, and designating dealer principals, executive managers and general managers as the primary communicators/negotiators in sales transactions.

I've been speaking with a dealer for a couple weeks and he told me this news today via phone & email. He didn't disclose a price, but said I would be #2 in line and they are expecting 9 for the year. At the risk of sounding like too much of a capitalist, if I'm able to buy it at sticker what do you think a realistic markup will be on resale within a month or two?

It's the largest one in the Southeast. They are supposed to get 1-2 in each batch every 3 months. I've been reading on other boards that some people have not been quoted a price yet but have their deposit and are on the waiting list and are prepared to pay 10k - 20k over sticker while others have gotten it at MSRP. Also is the number 1,500 units confirmed or could that go up drastically?
