Yeah, I put on nearly 20 lbs but I've taken off half of that and gotten leaner. Truthfully while it was fun to be bigger and stronger I didn't feel very good.

I like how I feel when I'm in swimming/cycling/running form. I fidget less.
Spares man! Or at least a patch kit and some CO2 - this ain't no race, you can carry a few extra ounces!

Yup finally got the wife to wake up and come get me.
Met the owner of Rosetti bikes. The guy is in A+ dude in my book. He took the time to stop and offer me help. I recognized him but he never mentioned anything of his company. Just a roadie helping a tri guy out.
It's beyond hot and humid out here guys. Just can't remember ever suffering so much either running or riding. Idk. Maybe I'm just getting old and lazy.

At the end of the day it's about how much pain one can tolerate.

Yeah, when I was bulking I felt like crap a lot of the time. Like you say, all the read meat and heavy food just saps your energy. I rarely eat meat now at all (maybe some seafood once or twice a week) and my energy levels are ridiculously high compared to before. I'll be interested to see what my next round of bloodwork looks like.

A friend of mine used to train on his 303 tubies. Till he got 1 flat. The next time I saw him, he was rocking a pair of DA clinchers. I can't imagine being able to easily switch out if you get a flat...just wouldn't work out too well 50mi from home.
