Yeah, I put on nearly 20 lbs but I've taken off half of that and gotten leaner. Truthfully while it was fun to be bigger and stronger I didn't feel very good.

I remember when I was bulking and all I wanted to do was eat meat meat meat (specifically red meat, cause red meat is fantastic) but every morning I'd wake up feeling like I was going to die.

I like how I feel when I'm in swimming/cycling/running form. I fidget less.

Sounds like a pair of tubulars huh? No cell phone for the pick me up phone call?

Did 38 this morning, felt good, tailwind along the water on the way back was a welcomed surprise.

Yup finally got the wife to wake up and come get me.
Met the owner of Rosetti bikes. The guy is in A+ dude in my book. He took the time to stop and offer me help. I recognized him but he never mentioned anything of his company. Just a roadie helping a tri guy out.
It's beyond hot and humid out here guys. Just can't remember ever suffering so much either running or riding. Idk. Maybe I'm just getting old and lazy.

Someone should start a running thread.
I am by no means a runner but I have improved my running since I went to a front foot striker as opposed to a heel striker. Also, I spent two months early this year just doing base/ low heart rate work an it's paid off.
At the end of the day it's about how much pain one can tolerate.

I ride with no tools/spares/phone. Tires have only 150miles on them so hopefully they are thick enough to withstand most sharp objects

Yeah, when I was bulking I felt like crap a lot of the time. Like you say, all the read meat and heavy food just saps your energy. I rarely eat meat now at all (maybe some seafood once or twice a week) and my energy levels are ridiculously high compared to before. I'll be interested to see what my next round of bloodwork looks like.

A friend of mine used to train on his 303 tubies. Till he got 1 flat. The next time I saw him, he was rocking a pair of DA clinchers. I can't imagine being able to easily switch out if you get a flat...just wouldn't work out too well 50mi from home.
