Even better than a mango, really.

Hello Teamspeed, been quite some time since I've done any sort of rendering, but a member here and potential 918 Spyder customer wanted to see what a hardcore version of the 918 Spyder would look like so I obliged(I used to render under "Carrara Design", but something new I'm doing here is "CASINO 119").

Based upon the "Weissach Package" which adds lightness and some nifty carbon fiber bits, the 918 RS goes race car with an extended splitter, dive planes in the front, a Euro TS plate that is good for another 43hp to the front wheels, an RSR style rear wing, a tow hook for those sticky situations, mesh covered intakes, some snow and many other minute changes (such as no more gaping panel gap!).

The wheels I chose to go with are HRE 501's apart of their vintage series, but because this is the 918 and we don't like the simplicity of 5 lug wheels, they have been converted to center locks.

I hope you like it, and please tell me what you think!

And a huge thanks to Adam or jdmek on flickr for letting me use his awesome photo of the Nordschleife! He has many great automotive related photos if you're interested.

Look amazing. But the golden rims and design... just no.

P.S. I love the TS plate.

Wheels look they should be on a 70's 911, not a 918. Those need to be updated by 40 years.

So I guess they are the least liked thing?

I actually quite like the look they give the 918, but I definitely understand why they may look out of place. I was going for an "RSR" look to be similar to the BBS RS type wheels Porsche used on their race cars, but with the 991 they are converting to a more modern style.

Anybody have any other wheel and color combo they think would set the 918 off?
