New shoes!
just got these... they change the look of the car massively-- so much more aggressive now! it loses a bit of its "Ruf"-ness IMO, but almost everyone so far around these parts likes it.
and you can't ingnore the weight savings. at only 19 lbs for a rear 19" x 12", with over 700kg load rating, these are apparently the lightest wheels you can get for a 997, apart from full carbon wheels anyway.
cheers
they're BBS RI-D's by the way. identical in look to the FI's, but these are made from duralumin 7000 alloy. BBS claim its the first application for this aerospace grade alloy in road car wheels. unfortunately not available in center lock.

i can completely see how some people would feel that way... its a different character for sure. the Mantheys were more understated, and in that way, were more "Ruf" IMO.
but its ok, they found a good home on the GT3. the OE wheels are heavy!
(have to say i think Porsche did a fantastic job on the styling of the OE wheels... the car really looks great out of the box, but since these had come off the Ruf, pity not to try them on)
