From Grand Am, when we decide whether to run a 3.8 or 4.0 motor, the 4.0 has a better top end, but the 3.8 is more torque supplied for infield corners. This is a general statement, as restrictors, wings, and other things come into play. As a whole, it is true.

According to C&D road tests to 4.0 was:
PERFORMANCE:
Zero to 60 mph: 3.4 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 11.6 sec
Top speed: 193 mph
While the new GT3 was:
PERFORMANCE:
Zero to 60 mph: 3.0 sec
Standing 1/4-mile: 11.2 sec
Top speed: 195 mph
GT3 (991) 7:25 lap time on the Nürburgring Nordschleife vs 7:27 for 4.0
So.. GT3 (991) outperforms 4.0. The RS will be a monster.
