Didn't quite get you. Are you saying it would or wouldn't be a good long term collectible ..?

I keep liking this car more everyday, I'm almost wondering if it's a better choice and a more beautiful car than the Huayra.
For those of you that saw this particular car last weekend, please share your thoughts on the styling, fit and finish as well as your thoughts on its road presence amongst the other cars at pebble.

I can't really comment on how the 918 is in general because I was only able to look at it briefly. It definitely sounds good and looks good on the road. Beyond that, I don't have much of an opinion to share. I would say that for the price range that this falls into, I would go with the P1 instead.

Wait I thought this was 800k, the P1 is what 1.3 mil. ......how is that the same price category???
That's why i said I would rather this and a CGT with the left over money. I have a suspicion that porsche has been holding back on their performance numbers....

Porsche 918 is $895k to start plus options which from what I've seen could easily push it to close to 1 mil. P1 is 1.15 mil fully loaded with quite a few no-charge options unless you go with special order items from MSO. To be honest, any car that costs over $500k which already in itself is a rarefied category is pretty much in the "same category." Even the LaFerrari too.
Porsche has always been conservative about their performance numbers with their cars.
