Angry Porsche Workshop Campaign WC51

Recall for my '10 RS and '11 4.0
Air Intake distributor guiding shaft for the resonance flap may break into pieces and get into the intake or ultimately combustion chambers.

Anyone get the fix yet?

Got my letter over the weekend. Have not called yet to schedule.
Anyone know if this requires engine removal?

No, it shouldn't. It won't be a fun campaign to perform but the engine will stay in the car.

No biggie as long as they fix it. I'm just glad my engine did not get hurt by it.
Mine is in service now, the parts are there so waiting for the call to tell me the car is done.

surprising that they have not issued a recall for the 997.2 GT3RS clutch shattering...

I asked that question too...no dice
Nice thing about this car is that they time the recalls with my annual oil change...first with CL recall, 2nd w/ intake.....hopefully next year it's the clutch and then the cam bolts year 4

According to a rennlist post I think they may have to lower the engine 4cm to do it. Taking mine in on Tuesday.
