I seriously doubt the drivetrain loss is 20%. 490 sounds VERY low. I would guess 550 without breaking out the calculator and estimating 12% loss.

he didn't shut off the car after each run..it is just quiet

The car made 560RWHP which you can figure about 650 or so range..
Dyno can vary 15-20% drivetrain loss..we factored at 18%.

612*0.8=489.6

Of course I have no idea what the real drivetrain loss is on a CGT so my assumption could be way off.

Any particular reason everyone thinks the drivetrain loss is that high? I only push this because my 944 turbo a few years back was 12% loss and thats a car from the 80's. So why would a modern mid-engine super car from porsche be that much less effecient at getting power to the ground 20+ years later?

I know this is a bit OT but at the same time my logic sways the numbers a bit. Say 625 crank hp range.

Either way, nice car and good #s

Beautiful and great car!!
Now supposedly the stock engine makes 612 bhp. This C-GT put down 560 rwhp. So what is the DT loss for this car?
With the figures at hand this translate to a DT of 8%. Even with current technology as someone was stating this does not compute.

Regardless it is an awesome car.
I would love to run one with my ASR Engineering tuned E60 M5 ( 581 rwhp and 461 rwtorque ). The C-GT would have the aerodynamic and weight advantage. Still it would be fun. It would be a blast to do a 60 to 180 mph run.

Cheers gentlemen,

Ranger
