They can usually tell by the axle wear that doesn't come from road driving, rubber marks on the paint and windshield from track marbles, brake pad and rotor wear not seen with street use, plus word of mouth from track club members, DME analysis of rpm's and overrevs, when the CL's fail they only fail from track use....The key to avoiding voiding of warranty is a cooperative dealer service dept. But if something catastrophic happens-engine failure, PDK failure-then even that won't protect you....
