yes - that model A4 was brand new when these original came to light.

something about the HTA not allowing (non) pneumatic tires on publics roads is the big road block...

It looks very weird, but I wonder how the ride quality is compared ot normal tyres. I guess that they won't be able to fit on sportier cars due to the brake disc restriction, can't make the inner diameter very big judging by the pics.
Very cool idea instead of just working on with ordinary tyre structure.

This news and some of those pics literally came out years ago...

Interesting concept that will be here in the future from what i remember.

This is very cool technology. Not sure why they never actually started selling these things. Possibly because it will cannibalize their their current tire market, and that there are few possibilities for wheels.

Looks like these tires would grab sticks or stones off the road and throw them, possibly causing some serious affects to the safety of standers by...

CAN you imagine the cost of replacement, im sure the thread wear is going to be very low.
